BRIAN COLBURN
An experienced lender to franchisees across the nation, Brian Colburn joined Mount Pleasant Capital in mid-2008, bringing with him more than two decades of hands-on financing experience. In his role at Mount Pleasant, he combines planning, implementation and management expertise to ensure that clients are well-served as they seek to start, expand and improve their businesses.
Before joining Mount Pleasant, Mr. Colburn was managing director of the Franchise Finance Division at Butler Capital Corporation for nearly four years.
Mr. Colburn began his career in 1980 at Keystrokes, Inc., a Riverton, NJ-based firm specializing in market research. He was later a top-producing sales professional at a number of firms including Captive Capital Corp. in King of Prussia, PA; Smart leasing, Inc. in Exton, PA; Electronic Credit Services in Voorhees, NJ; Security & Surveillance Inc. in Jacksonville, FL; and Information Resources, Inc. in Chicago.
From 1990-97, Mr. Colburn was president of the Colburn Corporation, a retail marketing firm headquartered in Somerdale, NJ, where he developed business leads, obtained financing, located sites, purchased equipment, designed store layouts, and created localized marketing strategies for new franchisees.
Mr. Colburn earned a degree in business administration from Millersville University in 1980.
